Business Development Representative

Position Summary

MadCap Software is seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing go-to-market team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our enterprise sales motion, driving top-of-funnel pipeline growth and helping shape how we leverage cutting-edge AI tools to refine our prospecting strategies. This position reports to our Chief Revenue Officer.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prospecting & Outreach: Identify and engage potential enterprise customers through strategic account planning and targeted outreach efforts
  • AI-Enhanced Pipeline Building: Collaborate with the sales and RevOps teams to develop and refine use cases for AI-driven insights, helping MadCap harness the full potential of tools such as Gong, 6sense, and Qualified for predictive prospecting.
  • Lead Qualification: Conduct initial outreach and qualification calls to assess prospect fit using the MEDDICC framework, ensuring alignment with our enterprise sales motion.
  • Pipeline Collaboration: Work closely with account executives and RevOps to ensure smooth hand-offs and to provide feedback on the quality of leads and conversion rates.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience: Previous experience in a sales development or business development role, ideally within a B2B SaaS or enterprise-focused environment.
  • Sales Qualification: Previous experience or familiarity qualifying opportunities through MEDDICC sales methodology, or comparable structured sales processes.
  • Familiarity with AI Tools: Comfort and interest in utilizing AI-driven sales technologies such as 6sense, Qualified, and Gong to enhance prospecting efforts.
  • Growth Mindset: A curiosity and growth-oriented attitude, with a willingness to experiment and help build out new sales processes.

Salary Range: $90K - $115K
